Kelcey Jordan was born with 80% hearing loss in
his right and 60% loss in his left ear. Doctors said since the age of
four, he would never be able to hear and that surgery would do no good. On
Feb. 16, 1998, under our gospel tent, in Union Springs Ala., at the age of
16 years old. God healed Kelcey completely as we prayed for him. On February 16, 1998 God sent a tent revival to
Union Springs AL. The Man and
woman of God were Evangelists Tommie and Patricia Miles, Jr. of Tallassee
AL, pastors of The Light of Jesus Outreach Ministry.
Many souls were saved; many delivered from drugs and alcohol.
The most special miracle was Kelcey Jordan’s miracle.
Here is his miracle: On April 20 1982 at 3:05 PM Keith was born and at
3:10 Kelcey was born. These
twin sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Jordan of Hurtsboro AL. Their mother was 40 years old and 5 ˝ to 6 months pregnant. I gave birth to these twins at the Medical Center
in Columbus GA. Doctors
immediately placed them in the High Risk intensive care unit.
Both of the twins hemorrhaged at the brain. After 13 hours, Keith, the oldest, died.
The doctors told us that if Kelcey made it out of the hospital he
would not be productive; that he would be a vegetable and would not be
able to see, to hear, to talk, or even walk. After 2 weeks in the High Risk intensive care
unit, Kelcey’s lungs began to fail.
The doctors had to rush in and do a PDA surgery which required them
to break his left shoulder bone to correct the problem.
During this time, I was not able to touch my child, nor hold him. I
continued to pray for him every single day.
I visited him daily. Kelsey
was born crossed eyed and with an 80% hearing loss in his right ear and
60% loss in his left ear. Kelsey
has been using hearing aids since the age of 4.
The doctors said he would never be able to hear and surgery would
not do any good. Kelsey, upon reaching Jr. High, had to have an
auditory trainer; a $2000 instrument inserted into his ear. This instrument, along with the hearing aids, allowed Kelcey
to get feedback from his teachers. Upon hearing about Pastor Tommie Miles and his
wife doing nightly revival in a tent in Union Springs AL, the Lord placed
it upon my heart to attend and take Kelcey.
I had been asked earlier by an Evangelist to bring
Kelcey because the Lord said he was going to heal him.
Through the man of God, Kelcey was healed in that tent revival that
night. Kelcey is now 16 years
old going to the 11 th grade and his grades are good.
He attends Russell county High School, and is a member of First
Missionary Baptist Church in Hurtsboro
where he serves on the Jr. usher board and attends Sunday school
every Sunday. Written by: Mrs. Lillian Jordan (Kelcey’s mother)
