Personal Testimony

of Tommie and Patricia Miles

Tommie Miles, Jr. was born to a prayerful Christian mother and an alcoholic father. Unfortunately, he followed in his father's footsteps at an early age. Later, they became drinking partners. He dropped out of school in the seventh grade, unable to read or write.

By the time Tommie became an adult, he was drinking two fifths of 151 proof rum, a case of beer, and smoking two packs of cigarettes every day. At that time, he even walked the streets with two pistols on his sides. This resulted in his being labeled "Wyatt Earp." This lifestyle led him into a life of crime. All the while his mother faithfully prayed for him. When he was sober one time, she prophesied that some day God would give him a Christian wife and that he would preach the Gospel. Needless to say, he dismissed this as foolishness.

At that time, he even walked the streets with two pistols on his side. This resulted in his being labeled "Wyatt Earp."

As the years went by, Tommie continued in this lifestyle choosing to do his own thing.
Eventually, it caught up with him when he bought a stolen car. This resulted in his arrest six months later. He was sentenced to Life and 25 years without parole, in Greensboro, Alabama. There he met Mrs. Izetta McCaskill, an elderly woman who ministered to the inmates. She taught Tommie about the awesome love of Jesus. In 1981, he surrendered his life to the lord
On All, Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Mrs. McCaskill prophesied that Tommie would preach. (Confirmation of what his mother had said previously) She gave him a Bible and God miraculously taught him how to read it.

He was still in prison. Form 1981 to 1988, he was moved from prison to prison in Alabama. However, he did what he could inside those walls by teaching the inmates about Jesus. God gave him the honor or becoming the first Inmate Chaplain in Alabama at Bullock County Correctional Facility. He met his Christian wife, Patricia, there in September of 1990 while she was participating in a prison ministry for the inmates. They were married in November of 1990. The prophesies were being fulfilled there in prison. Tommie and Patricia used Matthew 18:19 to help pray for Tommie's release. On February 25th, 1991, Tommie became a free man.

Since then, Tommie and Patricia have dedicated their lives totally to reaching the drug addicts, alcoholics, prostitutes, gang leaders, and homosexuals with the love of Jesus. They have seen miracles upon miracles and many souls redeemed. One such example was a well known gang leader. The gang leader had come to a service with the intention of shooting Tommie with a 38 pistol-but reported later that every time Tommie had said "Jesus," he saw fire come out of Tommie's mouth. He made Jesus his Lord that night!
Even while Tommie was an illiterate alcoholic, God had a vision of what He was going to be.
Joining Patricia and Tommie together in marriage and Ministry could not have been so successful had not the trials and tribulations he encountered led him in this particular path (including an alcoholic father).

Having traveled down some of the same paths as those to whom they minister, the Miles understand the pain of brokenness, the injury of those without hope. This Ministry has brought a new light to the hopeless. This light is
"Jesus Christ."
Their Ministry includes Church and Tent Revivals, Prison and Radio
